This costume was worn by the renowned Romanian film and theatre actor, Razvan Vasilescu, in the critically acclaimed film “MO,” directed by Radu Dragomir in 2019. In this film, Vasilescu portrayed the character of the professor.

The story revolves around Mo, a determined university student, and her best friend, who find themselves entangled in a cheating scandal during an exam, overseen by the university’s toughest professor. When Mo pleads for a second chance, the professor extends an unexpected invitation to his home. Little do they know, they are about to face an impromptu examination that will test their mettle. What starts as a lighthearted affair takes a dark turn when Mo loses control, leading to unforeseen consequences.

Razvan Vasilescu, a veteran of the screen, boasts an impressive career spanning over four decades with appearances in more than 40 films and television shows since 1979. Notably, he took on a memorable role in “The Oak,” a film that was showcased out of competition at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in 1992.

As for the costume, this black pullover and dark striped scarf, suits an anonymous person who wants not to be noticed while putting his crime into action. I was lucky to watch Mo (2019), although it’s not a usual suspense film, the 3rd act is pure suspense. – Andrew Mohsen, curator
